BoF: SPEC HPG Benchmarks For Next Generation Systems

Description: The High Performance Group (HPG) at the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) is a standard consortium comprising of vendors, research labs and universities. It has a long history of producing standard benchmarks with metrics for comparing the latest in HPC systems and software. The group has successfully released, or is working on, benchmarks, and supporting run rules to measure performance of OpenCL, OpenACC, OpenMP, and MPI programming models and their implementation in various science applications running on hybrid (CPU+accelerator) architectures. This BOF will include presentations on the existing benchmarks and results and a discussion on future benchmarks and metrics.
